Poster Presenter Information

Accepted abstracts for the congress will be presented in Virtual Poster format. Virtual Poster Presentations should include:

  • a pdf of your full poster
  • a pre-recorded presentation of your abstract, approximately 3-4 minutes long

Ways to Present Pre-recorded Posters

Format your presentation using PowerPoint and add audio talk voiceover timed to each slide that will advance automatically. If possible, have PowerPoint include your image in the chat in the corner.

If you do not have access to PowerPoint, here are some suggestions for free alternatives: LibreOffice Impress, Loom, Zoom, or the audio program Audacity.

Include an intro slide with a brief “Sales Pitch” for your talk. Explain what you did and what you learned.

Try to limit the number of slides in the PowerPoint presentation to 5 (not including intro slide). The total maximum time of your talk is not to exceed 5 minutes.

Ways to Submit your PDF and Pre-recorded Video Files

In many cases the recording files will be too large to email to the office. Files can be transferred using Dropbox, large file transfer such as WeTransfer, Google Docs, upload to YouTube, etc… Please contact the Congress Secretariat ( when you are ready to transfer your file to provide them with the information needed to retrieve the files.

Deadline: Please submit your pdf and recording on or before September 8 2020

We understand that this is new to everyone, including us! Please feel free to contact the Congress Secretariat ( with any questions.
